Roadblocks and Hiccups

So I rode to school 3/5 days last week, and it was fantastic! The ride to school in the morning is amazing, the ride home kinda blows, because it is so darn warm, BUT that will change once it starts to cool off. I rode 20 miles total last week because I got a flat on Friday going home from school.

This week is only going to be 16 miles because I have an appointment on Friday with my job specialist. It's okay I'll pick it up majorly the following week with 32 miles!!! :)

I'll keep everyone posted.

And the Journey Begins...

It's been one hell of a weekend, and let me say that I have enjoyed every minute of it! Started off with a fundraiser for Central Valley Pagan Pride, got to see a lot of people that I love dearly, and just ultimately hang out. Entertainment was great, and company was awesome! Followed by a lazy Saturday, then Sunday pops up with Panera and seeing the movie "The Help" which was great! Mom bought the book, so it's totally on my to do list.

Then it hit me at some point today how truly content I am with my life, and how pissed off I am all at the same time. I look at my gorgeous little girl, and even when she is being a hellian, I could not imagine going a day without her. It has been a month since he has seen her. I know I should be used to it, I should expect it, but fuck...

Luckily school starts tomorrow and it can take my mind off the fact that he's being a deadbeat. 8 miles tomorrow and couldn't be more excited!

1st Birthday Plans: What's Pink yellow and quacks?

Scarlett's birthday is coming up, and I have finally figured out what party decorations I want to do!

It's super cute! It's a service of 16 for about 40.00, I plan on supplementing the rest of the needed flatware with solid colors.

We're also doing cupcakes topped with Rubber Ducks (party Favors) Ducks look like this:

Probably going to do yellow/white cake with white frosting to complement the color theme, with a mini cake for Scarlett to demolish.

This onsie:
First Birthday Duckie Baby Onesie
Cause all little ones need something special! I also plan on turning our pool into a duck pond with these or something like them:
18" Inflatable Duck :: Huge Inflatable Rubber Ducky

Last but not least are these cute duck garlands I found on ebay:
12' Little Yellow Ducks Crepe Garland Party Decoration

Yup I'm looking at spending about 100.00 I didn't think that was too bad. Any suggestions or ideas? Plan on purchasing stuff in September.
